Day 1: Delhi Arrival
After you have landed in Delhi, you will be received by our tour representative and transferred to your hotel. You can rest for the day since you might have had a hectic journey and thus have your dinner at the hotel and sleep nicely!
Day 2: Sightseeing in Delhi
After having your breakfast at a suitable timing in your hotel, you will be taken by our tour guide to visit the major tourist spots located in Old Delhi. These sightseeing places include Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, the Gandhi Memorial and the famous Chandni Chowk.
Do have lunch after visiting this place since you still need to cover the tourist spots located in New Delhi. Here you will be visiting the India Gate, President’s House, Parliament, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple and Birla Mandir.
Your trip for the day would be over, and you will be taken back to your hotel. Have your dinner and enjoy your overnight stay!
Day 3: Delhi to Jaipur
Do have your breakfast early in the morning because you will be visiting the Pink City of India, also known as Jaipur. Jai Singh II established the city of Jaipur in the year 1727. This is one of the very first planned cities ever created.
Do visit the local markets for the rest of the day in case you want to do some traditional shopping. Return to your hotel at night to have dinner and continue with your journey from next day onwards!
Day 4: Sightseeing in Jaipur
After finishing off with your breakfast in the early morning, you will be taken by our tour guide for the marvellous sightseeing tour of the city of Jaipur. This city falls under the Golden Triangle and thus is one of the most popular cities in India.
Here you will be taken to visit the City Palace, Museum and the famous Hawa Mahal.
Do have your lunch because you still need to cover the famous tourist spots before it gets too crowded during the afternoon. These tourist spots include Jantar Mantar, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh and many other places. The major attraction is, however, the Amber Fort which is located on top of a hill situated in Jaipur. It has a strong representation of Rajput Architecture.
You will be taken back to your hotel, by our tour guide, after all of these places have been visited. Have your dinner and call it a day!
Day 5: Jaipur to Agra
Early in the morning, have your breakfast since you will be visiting Agra. The famous city of Fatehpur Sikri will be on the way, so you are likely to stop for a visit.
After resuming your journey towards Agra, the first thing your tour guide will be taking you to visit would be the Taj Mahal. Emperor Shah Jahan built this beautiful piece of architecture for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Her tomb now lies buried beneath the Taj Mahal.
After this, you will be visiting the Agra Fort, another popular tourist attraction located in Agra. The tomb of Itmad-ul-Daulah is yet another popular place to visit since the Empress Noor Jahan built it in the loving memory of her father.
Later on, our tour guide will be taking you to visit the tomb of Emperor Akbar in Sikandar along with visiting Mathura and Vrindavan, which is quite popular since it is related to the birthplace of Lord Krishna.
Call it a day and retire back to your hotel to have your dinner and thus have a good nights’ sleep!
Day 6: Agra to Jhansi to Khajuraho via Orchha
After finishing off with your breakfast in the morning, our tour representative will be dropping you off at the station so that you can catch your scheduled train to Jhansi. Once you arrive Jhansi, another tour guide will be receiving you, and on the same day, you will be visiting the fortress of the renowned Rani Lakhsmi Bai of Jhansi.
Once you are done touring the fortress, you will be travelling over to Khajuraho which is about 16 km from the central city of Jhansi. The route followed will be via Orchha where you will be visiting the Orchha Fort, Jehangir Mahal and Raj Mahal.
After visiting all of these places, you will be transferred to your hotel in Khajuraho where you can enjoy your overnight stay and have a great dinner!
Day 7: Khajuraho to Varanasi
After having your breakfast in the hotel, make sure that you are prepared for an extended tour throughout the day.
For the first half of the day, you will be sightseeing the city of Khajuraho which consists of various beautiful temples created in between the era of 950 AD and 1050 AD by the Chandela Dynasty. The temples are quite famous for the representation of Kamasutra postures, which is also known as the ancient sex manual of India.
Out of all of the 85 temples in the area, only 22 retain, and the major attraction for tourist is called the Matangeshwara Temple. This temple consists of two parts, east and west. The western part of this temple is the most popular place in the temple since it depicts the highest peak of Chandela Art.
After completing this tour, for the next half of the day, you will be travelling over to Varanasi. Once you land, our tour guide will be receiving you and will be sending you over to your pre-booked hotel. You can visit the Sarnath Temple later on in the evening which is at a distance of 12 km from the central city of Varanasi and thus after visiting, call it a day and enjoy your overnight stay in your hotel!
Day 8: Varanasi to Delhi (Shivganga Express)
After waking up early in the morning and having your breakfast, our tour guide will be assisting you with a calm and peaceful boat ride on the river Ganges. The scenes which you will be experiencing early in the morning is truly magnificent since you can watch lots of devotees perform various rituals and pray to the Sun God before starting with their daily activities.
There are various other major tourist attractions in Varanasi which consist of Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Banaras Hindu University, Kashi Viswanath Temple and much more. All of these places will be covered by your tour guide within the rest of the day.
After completing off with all of these tourist spots, you will be sent over to the train station where you need to catch your train to return to Delhi.
Day 9: Re-arrival in Delhi
